  24. This appendix gives an overview on the use of the mouse buttons.

  27. Mouse Button Usage
  28.  
  29. When you click mouse buttons, the task performed depends on 
  30. three factors:
  31.  
  32. Ñ    the location of the mouse
  33. Ñ    the mouse button that is pressed
  34. Ñ    the current operation mode of ImageTool
  35.  
  36.  
  37. Normal Button Operation
  38. Clicking the left mouse button on the canvas when you are using 
  39. the normal mode selects an origin point for drawing operations. 
  40. Clicking twice in rapid succession loads the image specified in the 
  41. Image text field at that location. 
  42.  
  43. The middle mouse button drags a selection box; clicking outside of 
  44. this selection cancels the selection. If instead of clicking outside 
  45. the box you press the middle mouse button inside the box, the cut and 
  46. paste functions are performed on the selection, and you can drag 
  47. the selected area to a new location on the canvas. Alternately, 
  48. holding down CTRL and pressing the middle button with the 
  49. mouse inside the selection box performs the copy and paste 
  50. operations simultaneously. Clicking the right mouse button on the 
  51. canvas undoes the original selection.

  53. Outside of the canvas, pressing the right mouse button activates a 
  54. menu if one is available. The left mouse button can be used to select 
  55. text fields or active control buttons.
